Hi!

So I've ordered an iPhone 13 Pro Max from Amazon (NL), and it arrived yesterday.
The delivery guy put it in a mailbox instead of personally delivering the item to me (no signature etc).
I think this is the ideal DNA as I do live in a large appartment complex, where all mailboxes are at 1 place, so it's easy to make a mistake.

What's the best way to proceed? Should I wait a couple of days? Does that make a difference, or just go for it?
Does it matter that Amazon's own delivery guys did deliver the package, not DHL or DPD f.e.?

Was thinking about sending Amazon a message trough live chat, acting very frustrated (but keeping in mind that they can read before I press send) and claiming the package has the status arrived, delivered in mailbox, while my mailbox is empty (also act very frustrated why they'd want to put a €1.000,-+ item in a mailbox in the first place). They can start an investigation I believe, but then prove what? There are like 40 mailboxes at 1 place, right?

Am I looking at the right direction here?

waiting 1-2 days is a fine credibility addon, for example you were waiting patiently for it, cause maybe the delivery guy only marked it as delivered in the system but will deliver it at a later time (which in fact happens sometimes)

btw @DocVH was it done with a fresh account with no prior purchase history or a mature one?

As far as you're concerned, you're still waiting for the package to arrive, so contact them the next day.

Don't go Into any more detail than you have to - It may unnecessarily complicate matters.

Simply say It hasn't arrived and leave It at that.

Talked to CS. No way they'd let it go without a research by the carrier/mailman (Amazon was the carrier). It was a good conversation, i'll update this thread in 3 days when they complete their research (fingers crossed).

It was done on an account which is about 6 years of age, with 6 months prime, and a few legitimate orders (most expensive one is €99,-.
