Java or Python 11-13-2015, 10:25 PM

So I've been learning Java lately and I've been so undecisitive about should I go along with coding in Java or Python?
The two languages really appeal to me more than any other language. I wasted about 3 months on learning a language I ended up hating (JavaScript).
I like Java because I work in GM so it is the same thing as GML basically. I think it's very popular and great to make apps as well as webapps. People say Java is boring.
Python looks sleek and is simple. It's quite flexible and great for coding games as well. Though it's not used in GM.
So if you could give me your opinions, I'd be happy.
