Nope. If PayPal asks you to return the items, you need to buy a returns label yourself. Don't provide the one the company gave you. A cheap label with tracking is fine. You then proceed to box them directly, or you can ftid them if you wish.

So in theory if I had ordered 2 macbooks, and sent an empty box with my own tracking label, PayPal will automatically side with me?

Correct but the higher the order value the more risky the process can be. But in theory yes absolutely.

If I wanted to do say a 5-6k order from Curry's UK.

Probably best advisable to send back low value items of same weight and dimensions instead. Right ? Or perhaps even a box filled with dry ice of same weight ?
