Amazon denying refund, claiming they received the wrong item. 07-02-2022, 07:47 PM
#1
Around 4 months ago after I purchased a high value item my account was closed. I contacted amazon and asked if I could return it, they provided me with a return label. I had sent in the wrong item, so after explaining the situation and getting a new return label I sent back the correct item. 2 months ago I received an email stating my return was processed and my funds would appear on my bank within a week (this email was sent by customer service, not by an account specialist).
Since then I have repeatedly contacted amazon because I did not receive my money back, but the account specialists claim that they received the wrong item. When I tried to explain the situation several times, they kept sending me the low effort emails stating they received the wrong item. They do not respond at all anymore.
Tried the jeff bezos mail address, received the same response.
My bank refuses to help.
Is there anything at all I can do? Or is this another case of the rich f*cking over the poor with no option to fight back?

man has much more important business than that
Usually, Jeff Bezos' team of specialists are the ones who answer the emails on his behalf.

Gotta disagree with you here, I'd say there's a huge difference between me, a minimum wage worker who works his ass off paycheck to paycheck earning 8usd an hour and an international corporation, one of the world's largest. Just trying to stay alive, you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

mothered, can I hear your advice?
Forgot to add, my bank told me they can't do chargebacks. I guess banks work different here where I live.

This will confirm precisely which Item they have on hand.
I have requested details/photos of the item they received, however they keep sending me the usual ofm emails that are written beforehand, completely ignoring my requests.

This I have done as well, the customer service representatives tell me they send emails to the specialists so they can get in touch with me but this never happens.
I have publicly posted on one of Amazon's social media platforms, they redirected me to a unique customer service page where I filled in some information. According to what they said I should be getting a response within a few days, I will keep this thread updated if that happens.
