jQuery or JavaScript #1
Before starting this off, I would like to say that I am well aware that jQuery is JavaScript.

Which do you prefer to use when working with JavaScript, JS itself, or the ever so famous jQuery?

I prefer to use JavaScript, while the jQuery wrapper is easier to use by most people(which I won't disagree with), I think JavaScript has my vote. I'm more natural to using JS, anyways.

Also, I don't exactly know how one would know jQuery without knowing JavaScript.

Anyways, post below and vote on the poll.

Cheers, SL.

I'm going ahead and say Javascript for the same reason you did pretty much.

Jquery, Javascript.....Hmmm.....

Jquery makes things a little easier, but tends to bug out more.
Javascript is fairly good...but I think jquery beats it because of the amount of plugins you can get for it.

But... jQuery is a library of JavaScript functions, how can you even compare them?

...Obvious TL;DR...

Go back and actually read it. There's no comparing at all.

Well, shit. Who would've known that the only line I didn't read was the first? Tongue

I like jquery because in my eyes I find it simpler to read and understand that JS itself.
