jQuery or JavaScript - Equinox - 04-13-2014 Before starting this off, I would like to say that I am well aware that jQuery is JavaScript. Which do you prefer to use when working with JavaScript, JS itself, or the ever so famous jQuery? I prefer to use JavaScript, while the jQuery wrapper is easier to use by most people(which I won't disagree with), I think JavaScript has my vote. I'm more natural to using JS, anyways. Also, I don't exactly know how one would know jQuery without knowing JavaScript. Anyways, post below and vote on the poll. Cheers, SL. RE: jQuery or JavaScript - Flashwave - 04-13-2014 I'm going ahead and say Javascript for the same reason you did pretty much. RE: jQuery or JavaScript - TryhardHusky - 04-15-2014 Jquery, Javascript.....Hmmm..... Jquery makes things a little easier, but tends to bug out more. Javascript is fairly good...but I think jquery beats it because of the amount of plugins you can get for it. RE: jQuery or JavaScript - potatoman - 04-15-2014 Java script for the wind ! RE: jQuery or JavaScript - Lain - 04-15-2014 But... jQuery is a library of JavaScript functions, how can you even compare them? Go back and actually read it. There's no comparing at all. RE: jQuery or JavaScript - Lain - 04-15-2014 But.. jQuery is JS. Spoiler:
Silly Duubz, you're referring to vanilla Javascript. RE: jQuery or JavaScript - Cake - 04-16-2014 I like jquery because in my eyes I find it simpler to read and understand that JS itself. |
