We can point you in the right direction but first we need to know what your goals are. You will be very lucky to get offered one on one tuition as that's not really how the community works (besides asking o a public forum is far more effective as no one knows everything, but with so many active members here there is usually someone who knows the answer.

I recommend you check out this thread for a great heads up on how to ask questions in an efficient way that ensures a faster and more accurate answer.

Also welcome to the forums make sure you read the rules have fun and I hope you will remain an active and high quality member.
If you need help feel free to PM me

Thank you, my main and first goal is security, I know no computer is completely secure but being able to protect my computer is vary important to me.
my other goals include:
game design
programming (obviously)
I have looked up so many things on so many web sights, forums, google, youtube. but finding a strong hand hold to start off is difficult with so many places saying so many different things.
i'm currently learning JavaScript and mostly fiddling with batch, i have RPG maker VX ACE on my computer and have been messing around with it a bit, but i want to practice inputting my own script ( this is the most lazy game maker iv ever seen)really i would like to get in to 3d game making.
SO my big questions are:
what sites can i go to to learn how to protect my computer ( i know there are a lot im looking for credible sites that are easy to understand)
which langs (sorry for the abbreviation i cant spell that word no matter how hard i try) should i be learning that work for what im trying to do
and what should i be looking for to create my own 3d game (i would love to start from absolute scratch but i have a feeling that is above my level at the moment)
thank you for taking the time to give a hand, im not sure what all i should be looking up and that's my main problem (pulse all the other cool things you find will looking are a bit distracting)

I'v been looking up/studying for around 2 years now, i understand the basics of scripting and game making, next year ill be going to be studying game art and design (working hard to become a technical artist for Blizzard ) and i would like to know as much as i can about whats what in the programming/game making world before i start, that being my end goal. my interest in hacking (cracking) is purely to know what i'm protecting my computer from. what i should be looking for to know if there's any sort of rat keylogger virus ext. on my computer and how to protect from it and or get rid of it.

to be clear, iv been studying for a wile but only recently have i been able to try to put what i know into action, which is why im here now with a crap ton of questions Smile

Welcome to HackCommunity, @Grimx.

I'm not exactly a programmer so I can't answer your game design questions, especially since you'd like to program 3D games, and I've only ever designed 2D games (Pac-Man, Zombie Shooters, Frogger, etc.). However, I can help you with your security questions.

First of all, what is it you'd like to protect exactly? Do you have any interest in hiding your identity, or is it only your computer? If it's just your computer, the answer is simple if you're not a hacker; download Malwarebytes, Avast (or another anti-virus), and don't be stupid when you download things. Rather than running programs right on your normal desktop, try running them in Sandboxie or learn how to set up a virtual machine and run it there. If you do these few things, your computer probably wont get many viruses.

You should also go ahead and take the initiative to learn to protect your own personal identity online, too. You can read my short handbook that teaches you how to do so: http://www.hackcommunity.com/Thread-Tuto...x-Handbook

Oh, and please read the rules which can be found here:

First of all welcome to HC.

You want to make a 3D game? Online? Browser based? If so then there are several things you should be aware of.
1) if you use products of vendors you need a game development license
2) start from scratch would mean literally years of modelling, unless you don't have anything else in your life

I'm also making a 3D game(RPG), so far I didn't get really far(wife, work, life). I did create the entire cms for building the cities, castles, characters, weapons, spells, dialogs etc. But the gameplay itself is making me pull my hairs out. I've noticed that I will need a very fast server that can handle all the traffic. From what I've calculated, I need at least 50MB for each fight(spritesheets). Not to mention that the experienced players will know more spells and moves so we might end up @ 100MB/fight.

So it might be a good idea to team up with people that have the same interest.

id like to stay anonymous while im online and i would like to know how to create my own safty system for my computer going through and downloading antivirus's and the like would be redundant for me just because i want to know how it works how to do it my self (thank you for the links maxx). right now learning these things are my life, knowing how it works and what ill need to do it,
so starting from scratch a online MMO what should i know? what are the basic tools i need to start such a project?
