I think it failed. Since days amazon dont react. I stayed with my story but they dont react anymore. Chat/Mail/Phone nothing.
Its a tablet worth 1k+
They only told me days ago "send item back for refund"
You think they believe me the story with my Brother? Because i told them everytime the box was sealed.
Chargeback no Option for me. Need this Account.
What you think when i send them back the tablet without communication? You think they will close my account?
PS: i put dummy tablet inside the box same weight as original

How many days after they received the package did they contact you.
I am using the same method and it has been 5 days since they received the return and I have not yet received any updates

I am curious on how you approached this method. Did you replace the item with an old device or just random items that weighed the same? There must be a reason they opened a sealed box which caused this method to fail.
Have you done this method before? I am thinking that they may have history of receiving complaints after reselling items they previously received back from you.
this is all hypothetical.

^ my thoughts as well. Also, could be specific protocol with amazon UK? It seems like each region's protocol for examining returns varies quite a bit.
