What method for Amazon? #1
Hello people,

I am looking to SE an Apple Watch 5, but I am not sure how to go about this. Usually Amazon.de sends orders with DHL to me, which I have to show my ID to pick up, and thus I will not be able to use the DNA method. My estimations are that the package weighs around 2-3 pounds, so I doubt that Empty box or Missing item will work. What do you think?

I am not sure what other methods I could use, any ideas would be great! Smile

Using a fake signature will work if they ask for signature. If they're asking for ID, then maybe not. Do you pick up the package, or have it sent to your address? If it's picked up, DNA is much less likely to work.

If you can't DNA, boxing/FTID will work.
Very hit-or-miss, but I used to tell companies that an electronic would leak battery acid, and I had to dispose of it for the safety of my family. Then ask for replacement/refund.

You're SEing the "Item" and not the entire package, thus the Item (net) weight Is of relevance with the missing Item method.

What's the weight of the Item?

I think I will be going with FTID. Could you please explain further? If I order a service from Germany and I live in a different country, how do I explain the return from somewhere else?

I think the items itself is around 2 pounds. I will be going with a different method.

The purpose of FTID is to make it so the company receives and disposes of your package so they have no trace of it. Then, ultimately the tracking will show it was delivered but they won't have any records of it.
If you are completely unaware of the method, either do a lot of research or go for a service that will do it for you.
You can just say that you were on vacation/ business trip and have returned from there. Note that FTID is less likely to succeed if the package crosses international borders.

I am aware of how the method works, kinda. I was just confused about the fact that Amazon will be like "yeah send it back from a different country, that seems legit". I will def be using a FTID service, I am just a bit unsure how to execute it. Is it correct that if it all goes well, I won't even have to say anything to a rep? So like if the package is received and gets lost, they will just refund me auto right?

Sending it back from another country is fine, as long as you have a reason as to why.
No, you will have to talk to the rep and show them the tracking number. If it goes well, they shouldn't have any record of your package arriving.

If you use a FTID service, the refund is on you, not on the guy. You will have to manage the situation and yes, speak to a rep because they will need to manually refund you, investigate the package etc.
If you use a refund service the guy does everything but he will not tell you what method he will use.
