You don't have to be a "Hacker" to use Linux. Linux is a great OS for all sorts of things. Everyone thinks Linux is just a terminal based OS and that you have to write code to use it. It's not the Matrix. There are some great user friendly GUI based distributions. You should check out Ubuntu or Debian. Linux is freedom to use your system how you please and join a great community of free software. It all depends on preference. Don't let the movies deceive you into believing only "Hackers" use Linux. Hackers use Windows as well. Linux gives you the freedom to build/customize your own OS as oppose to being limited with Windows. Just some knowledge for you, I'm not telling you to switch to Linux, just wanted to clarity what Linux is about.

No problem, and you're welcome. You can use a VM or create a live version of any Linux distribution if you just want to try it out. It's fairly easy to create either.
