Don't use the missing Item method with Argos.

As I've mentioned countless times on this board (one post as recent as 15 minutes ago), they'll do everything they can to decline the claim. They tend to use CCTV cameras In their defense.

Yeah agree. Seems a waste for a chargeback - you can always return for a refund too.

Argos brother, had someone pass it straight away so am very surprised I got rejected.

Not really, they kinda just said apple weighs it all before they send items and supposedly that's their proof. Theres no weight on the delivery parcel hence im going to argue that.

I've opened them now as its been over a week that I was waiting for an investigation so couldn't return them used haha.
Argos are a bitch to refund from. I would recommend staying away. Of all refunds I've done Argos has been the most difficult to get any sort of way with

If airpods are what you want like mentioned above i would highly recommend John Lewis or Amz - never failed with these trusty sites

As mentioned In my above post, they'll try everything to decline your claim.

I believe he's saying that It's not worth performing a chargeback.

Not sure why it wouldn't be worth it though?

He would rather do a chargeback for a more expensive purchase. Too many chargebacks can possibly get your bank account closed.

As mentioned above, he may be saving PayPal for an SE that's worthy of Its value.

It's always good practice to SE the company first and If that fails, you have PayPal as a backup. If that doesn't succeed, you can perform a chargeback through your credit card provider, or a bank reversal via your merchant.

I see your point but i have never heard of an account being banned due to too many chargebacks. Banks make money from chargebacks and i have done a considerable amount accross 6 credit cards over the the last couple of years, switching between them accordingly. I haven't been questioned thus far, unless i am getting very lucky.

It certainly can.

PayPal defines It as "Higher-risk activity", whereby too many charebacks than usual, can result In an account being limited or banned.

Oh yeah, i'm aware of PayPal banning people, but not aware of it happening with credit card providers.

Your merchant Is separate from PayPal.

They do limit/ban accounts for the said reason.
