Tutorial How to SE Tablets (specifically Kindles. Detailed)

I have a pretty old and reputable account but they're still making me send proof. I said that as soon as I noticed the battery acid leak and strong odor I put it in a plastic trash bag. Told the rep I'm not comfortable with taking it out for my health. But sent pictures of the kindle usb charger as they asked. Order was like 4 months old. Also a bit offtopic but I have a WD HDD coming in today in like 12 hours. It's $60. Could I use never arrived method and get a refund? I'm going to try but Amazon support seems a bit trickier than I thought.

I would personally SE the kindle and just not SE the HDD.
Amazon will get suspcious if you do 2 refunds in such a small time frame. In that case, it is better to SE the more pricier item
Also, here's a tip for the kindle.
Be persistent.
I cannot tell you the number of times, I have avoided boxing by being persistent.
Call them up 2 times a day, and within a week or two, they will give in

Haven't been on here for too long but one of my first times trying a different method other than the common DNA and I' can confirm this method worked like a charm thank you @"GosuSang"

I'm at the last stage of the SE. I said I had the kindle in a plastic bag as I feared for my safety. They want me to send the kindle back and they gave me a prepaid usps label. Should I try to say that usps won't accept it because I was talking with the guy and he said that isn't allowed?

Yes, you need to remind them that you cannot send a leaking battery. If you have to , ask to transfer the call to a higher rep.

The guy (whoever you're referring to) Is Immaterial. He may say one thing, but their policy states another, hence It's the policy you must comply with.

As per their return policy, do USPS In fact accept returns with a leaking battery? If not, there's your answer.

I agree. I had this experience before, and I had to remind the rep that USPS/UPS do refuse to send hazards (in this case leaking batteries).
If the rep still does not comply, ask to speak to a manager and try again.
