Wasnt sure if this issue warranted a whole new thread so i figured id just ask here:
I ordered around $700 in pc parts to upgrade my pc with, and i only wanted a refund. The chat was going perfect and the rep offered a refund or reship. After choosing refund she says itll be processed and hits me with "oh and youll need to send the items back within 30 days or we will charge you again". Before that i had told her the box was on the porch for a while and got wet, the parts soaked overnight because i didnt get to open it until the next day, and that i threw them away after discovering this. The refund has been started, and the chat has been closed, what should i do here? I think i saw dry ice recommended earlier if you need to "return" something you want to keep, but i dont want to end up getting charged again because the box is empty when they get it.

Is this " you need to ship items back " message showing up on the tracking or refund page or did they email you?

On what grounds do you wish to SE them?

If the orders are dated a year back, there'll most likely be questionability as to why you've decided to make a claim now (12 months later), and not at the time of purchase.

Pretty experienced AMZ SE'er here. I had a question for the pros here. I was SEing on a total of three accounts 1st one id SE until I got the "We noticed an unusually high amount of returns email" and then I moved on to my 2nd account. same cc info, different address. I SEd this one until I got the same email, no problem. moved on to the third account different address and different cc. this time I got the warning email and decided to push it because I still had open orders that hadn't been refunded yet. Well, I fucked up. They banned me. Now all other accounts I open get banned immediately. First of all how the fuck does AMZ link accounts? It cant be name alone right? And I've used tunnel bear and windscribe. Things Ive made sure to change IP,phone, address(billing and shipping), and new cc's I cant change my name becuase its on my billing address no mater what.   Ive even used different devices. Anyone have any experience in this field? VCCs an option? Reloadable debit gift cc?

i'm no pro by any means, but have you deleted cookies? using vpn only doesn't help you as cookies have many datas about you. if you changed everything like ip, billing and shipping address, cc, flushed ip and cookies then they shouldn't really be able to trace and link accounts.

actually I have a question too. so I told the representative that I cannot ship back the item via UPS because their collection time and my working hours overlay. so what is a reasonable excuse to say why I can't leave my job to give the delivery guy the parcel?

The OP hasn't been active for one month to date, so I'll answer your question.

As I've mentioned In various posts with similar concerns, an Investigation Is part of company protocol based on the merit of the account holder's circumstances at the time. Wait for their reply and the next course of action, depends on the nature of their response.

Logistics company took a picture of my package in front of my home. How screwed am I? Can I still SE? The last thing I SE'd was in October '17. The current package worth about $60 USD.
