I think "American Way" kinda has new connotations that it didn't have when it was first made his catchphrase. But I don't really think it should be changed. Americans love to hate america until they go somewhere else xD Although, the same can be said for the English.

Don't forget about our dear boy Robin. If you want your character to have an established sexuality, do it when you create them. Waiting 80+ years just makes you look like a worthless pandering shill.

It's a crude marketing tactic and it definitely comes across half-assed. I'm all in favor of having gay superheroes or black women as spies, but it's not loyal to the source material.

The original creators are dead, so it's not like we'll hear their opinion.
