I still would prefer 2FA.

2FA would be totally fine as well and I support that. Anything to make users even safer.

Appreciate the suggestion and the concern of others safety.

2FA sounds better, if they were pins, in the long run, you could still get them keylogged, and if there was a DB breach, I'm sure they'd be stored in there too, rendering them useless to protection, unlike 2FA.

No, I'm talking about if an attacker had their hands on another database, not Sinister's. Having a PIN and 2FA would probably provide the same strength of security.

Nobody is going to have a clue what the PIN numbers of members here would be. There are ways to have them stored obscurely.

You never know though i think its not a good idea to use pins as an alternative instead of passwords (optional wise) because what will it be a 4 number/char pin? someone could probably guess someones pin easily.

NO! Lol...

Adding a PIN as an additional input box next to your password. Optionally. Meaning, if you wanted to you could enter your password & a PIN code to log into your account if you ever logout. Or you could enable your account to use PIN codes as additional verification to change important user info in your UCP such as your email/pass.

Certainly wouldn't remove the password feature and replace it with a PIN code that wouldn't be very safe.
