Thank you Cressi!

OT: @Jiggly, they'd have to reapply for EU membership, and they most likely will.

Although I don't think there's a need for either UK or Scotland needs to be under the same regime, I see just as little reason for Scotland to break out from the UK.
I can definitely see why the Scottish people want an independence, but I think we should be striving toward more countries under the queen's obedience, not fewer ^^

This is all very true. I find it strange how some people don't even know this.

I completely agree (perhaps with exception to the specification of the Queen since she has very little power).

To use a dirty word for Americans I would say Scotland political view is Socialism. Like me they agree with the NHS, and helping the put upon and downtrodden.

If they decide to go independent then good luck. My only problem is they will leave me stuck with bastards they don't want. However if the do go they will need to find a new currency as if they keep the pound then they are no truly independent and it will be England and Westminster who will continue to set their monetary policies.

It's complicated, but the Scottish do deserve the choice to choose their own destiny.

What forgotten part? O.o That's very cryptic haha.

I believe the Scottish have that right also. It would be a shame to see them go. Although, my feelings could be biased due to the mix of Scottish and English blood in my family. I've always considered us as good neighbours.

2 forgotten parts. Wales and Northern Ireland. More and more this debate has become Scotland v England. Yes the North of England is more like Scotland in their political view.

The second attack is Scotland v London. This I find more ironic as London and Scotland typically vote very very similar. Left of centre.

The problem is the tory party used it to test out their toxic policies. They decimated the industrial north, and neither party since then has done a thing to truly replace it. Everything gets privatised and the push is to pay people less and less. So yes I understand that resentment.

I personally don't care either way, just means I'll have to deal with less Scotts. I do however think it'd be extremely idiotic of Scotland to leave the United Kingdom. I mean, they even want to keep the Great British Pound as their currency. Scotland is just the little brother throwing a tantrum.

They probably would, although they'd need to start using a currency that's actually...exchangeable somewhere else than just in Scotland Tongue Apart from that, they're probably fine ^^

Hopefully that. I don't think they'll be allowed to keep their Pounds; but they need to establish a stable economic growth before they're allowed to make the change ^^

England would blow their economy if they wouldnt let Scotland keep pounds. Changing to Euro wouldnt much help either would be kinda hard for everyone there i think then.
