Regarding Wrong Item Received 12-01-2020, 05:58 PM

This is partially aimed at this article: https://www.socialengineers.net/2020/09/...ethod.html
I have personally always shopped around on Amazon to find item weights, and then gone and bought it from somewhere else like eBay.
My reasoning for this, is that if you instead opt to buy the item you plan to send back from Amazon but on a different account - Then does this not just link the two accounts when they scan the return?
It was always my assumption that the items barcodes are scanned and then assigned to your accounts order, therefore sending something you have bought from the same company would increase the chances of a failed claim?
thoughts? @mothered
