It did indeed sound extreme. I remember hearing about it in the Ressu Refunds telegram. This was on 12/30/2022, but the guy claimed he got a rebilling email from Costco from a Macbook he refunded a year prior.

This is the only recent incident I can find of Costco rebilling, so I probably wouldn't be too worried.

TBH if you account for rebilling before doing the SE it becomes an non issue anyway

Was your Oakley account new or aged and did you just claim the box was completely empty ? Multiple items or just 1 ?

Claimed EB, fresh account, said the case arrived but no sunglasses. Instant refund.
