RE: Random Philips info #61
Update: Philips got back to me yesterday telling they were processing a refund and asked for a POP once again (after I had repeteadly told them I didn't have one, because the Sonicare was a gift).
I replied acting confused, telling them I had been told a replacement was on the way 11 days ago but hey, I'd gladly accept a refund "with which I'd happily purchase a new toothbrush for myself" (yeah, sure, count on that!)
Today they sent me an apologetic email in which they explained how a replacement wasn't available for said toothbrush, and how they could refund me its price as listed on their website (350€ - maybe, were I to give them a POP, they would've refunded me the price written on it instead?).
They attached a Word doc that I had to compile with my bank info and then sign, nothing legally binding in any way or form. It also said I won't be pretending any more from Philips after I receive the sum.
Now waiting to see the bank transfer on my account Biggrin

Everything I post here is fictional. Anything mentioned on my posts that corresponds to events that happened in real life is coincidental.

You did very well Indeed.

What does this mean, namely "pretending":

Other than asking for my bank credentials, the module says something I can roughly translate to:
"In referring to my claims on the performance of said device, as a complete definition of all my pretenses, I declare to accept the return of a sum equal to the purchase cost I documented.
In receiving the sum of 349,99€, I'll have no more to pretend from you, for whatever reason, entitlement or cause."

It sounds like "take this money and let's bring this story to an end".

Agreed.

It's very poorly worded. They're basically saying: "here's your refund, don't bother us again".

I understand COVID may play a role with not requesting a signature (social distancing), but from a company's standpoint, they should Implement other measures to ensure receipt of goods.

Nice one with the second replacement.

Are you planning to box their requested return?
