Anime is going to rule the Hollywood Soon.
Japan is leading the way by showing great creativity through anime.

I hope that anime continues to make it's way into more mainstream media. The stories are really good.

The movie was nice, Scarlett Johansson played Major Motoko character brilliantly, waiting to see quality anime movies in Hollywood

I'm also hoping there's more to come. Though, I have a lot of anxiety about Hollywood taking hold of shows. It's hard to reproduce something that already has a really dedicated fandom.

What anime would I like to see as a live-action Hollywood adaptation? Cowboy Bebop and Trigun.

Curious to see how Cowboy Bebop goes as a live action, simply because it's a series that already had a lot of Hollywood influence. It was one of the first anime that really bridged the gap between western media and anime. They even got Yoko Kanno on board, which says something. Even if it's a disappointment, it could still be enjoyable.

I would fucking love to see Spike in a Live action Cowboy Bebop movie. As long as its not turned to shit like most content when it touches Hollywood.

John Cho will be playing Spike in the live action. There's some resemblance.

Spoiler:

When I first saw the cast list, I was disappointed, as I felt like they didn't look like the characters enough. However, I think that was a premature judgement. If how they act embodies the character well, I'm not going to be worried about the exact likeness to their cartoon version.

I think there's a real challenge for Hollywood, or any company making anime into live action outside of Japan - If it's made it far enough to deserve Hollywood's attention, then it's probably a very well-loved show in it's own right. Therefore, anyone doing a re-make/live action, is going to be under a lot of scrutiny by loyal fans.

I doubt Hollywood will ever give the right money and the right care to any anime adaption. They're very risky productions.
