First time posing here.
I recently received my Nordstrom order worth ~1k. It said that when the package was going to be delivered, they would require a signature but the carrier just left it on my front porch without demanding any signature.

I'm planning to doing the DNA method by calling Nordstrom and saying I was at work when the package was delivered, and that I assumed that because a signature was required  it would  be shipped over to the local UPS pick-up point for  pick-up  where they would take my signature and give me my package.  Basically saying that I never received the package.

I'll keep you guys updated on the status of my  refund.

You're not supposed to know that It was delivered, so simply say you're still waiting for the package to arrive.

Do note that Nordstrom are difficult to deal with at the best of times when using the DNA. Also, be sure to check If they're responsible for loss of goods during shipment.

seeing a lot of mixed rates for nordstrom. People on reddit say they hit, others on here say they have failed.

It depends on the method.

In terms of the DNA, they're difficult to deal with and tend to claim that they're not liable for lost shipments.

Head up and keep resilient if they try to deny you, keep at it. The consensus is that nordstrom is difficult but it's always been very easy for me claiming DNA, but I think that it's very carrier dependent. In my region they use this busted ass service that takes no signature, no picture, probably lucky if they take gps. Sounds a lot like your situation, stick with it and your refund's over the horizon..

what carrier if you don't mind me asking ? is it in the US. How much have you hit for from them?

Under the circumstances, It's of no surprise the DNA works more often than not.

They've basically DNA'd themselves.
