Not on a tablet. Chromebook, yes, if you put it on a SD card or flash drive you can boot to it using developer mode. Use one of the ARM images for the Samsung ARM Chromebook.

There is pen testing packages for Android as other users pointed out, maybe try one of those.

It's not kali linux but you can always try it! Make sure you have an otg cable though, just a regular one won't work. I was trying it out but my note died -_- then i dropped to my knees and yelled out a cry of despair :/
and a wifi card as well that is capable of packet injection. You can find them here if your not sure what to get:

I personally have the alfa awus036nha which works fine for me.

Answer is no, why? Short answer: you need a MACHO machine to PENETRATE test, means BIGGER RAM and FASTER CPU

false I've ran backtrack/kali on a machine with lower specs than the nexus 7, was a little slow but did run and performed all the tasks I asked of it

Like I said was a little slow but did work and wasn't painfully slow what was false was you stated you need a fast machine in order for kali to run which simply is not the case it even has an image designed specifficaly for a pi http://docs.kali.org/armel-armhf/install...spberry-pi sure it's nice to have a fast system but it's not strictly necissary.
