I'm banned on amazon? #1
I just got this email on one of my amazon accounts (lol)..

Hello,
We have closed this account. We took this action because you continued to consistently request refunds for a large number of your orders due to lost packages.
As previously indicated, we understand that occasional problems with orders are expected in the normal course of business. However, the unusually high number of lost packages that you have reported clearly exceeds this occasional expectation. For this reason, we reviewed your account to determine if any additional action was necessary. As a result, we have taken the decision to close this account as we cannot continue to issue refunds to you at this rate.
All accounts related to this account will also be closed. Please note that if you try to open a new Amazon.co.uk account, it will be automatically closed.
If you had open orders on this account, those orders were canceled and refunded when we closed the account. Any A-z claims will not be investigated and refunds will not be issued for these requests.
Any digital content that you purchased with this account is still available to you. To access the content, click the “Manage Your Content and Devices” link on the Your Account menu on Amazon.co.uk.
If you would like to appeal this decision, please reply to this email to reach an Account Specialist. Our Customer Service team can only confirm that we sent this message and help you with technical issues. They cannot reverse this decision or share more details on this matter.

Sincerely,
Account Specialist

I'm wondering what the bold bit means.. will they find out about my other amazon accounts and close them too? Or is it just an empty threat.. How can they ban me from starting another account.. is my IP banned now? I just ordered on another account a couple items to the same address with same card and it went through fine. Sorry for rambling... Got this an hour ago and wondering if they're on to me. Done like 20 £300ish ones this year. Been investigated a bunch of times before and got a slap on the wrist.. this time it was a TV after buying 10 items.. and nothing after that.. after about a week this happened.

Anyone else get this? what happened?

you have to switch accounts ... it seems very strange to me that you have refunded further orders after that letter ... however you make a new account with IP, associated cell number, method / payment card, destination address, different emails

no i just made a normal order on a different account about 1 hr after this email, i logged in with same IP used same card and same address.. seems to all be fine.. no restriction of other accounts with same IP / card / address.. i havent tried to SE yet.. do these account specialists know you are using separate accounts by checking the IP address?? I was under the impression its all pretty dumb on their side.. like they just close account and move on with their day?

Some users seem to have no troubles, others seem to be having lots of trouble opening an account and not getting it closed. I would still change every identifiable detail if you can.
Unfortunately, I have to retire from SE.
Thanks for all the fun, knowledge, and discussions while I was active! SL really is an amazing community! Keep spreading your knowledge and grow as a community. Smile

They closed both my accounts and the only similarity between the accounts was the up adresss .so if you make sure there’s no links you should be fine

It's pretty self-explanatory.

If you try opening new accounts that have any form of relevance to the closed account, they will also be closed. To circumvent this, simply change every Identifiable detail when creating subsequent accounts- IP address, family & given name, date of birth, address, phone number, payment system, different device and so forth.

In terms of forename and surname, do you have any idea how sensitive their systems are to picking up similar ones?

I.e, is as much as one character changed enough to perform a bypass, or does it require more?

It depends what character Is changed.

For Instance, names are always abbreviated by their first Initials, hence changing the first letter of your family name gives you an entirely new Identity. Evidently, a completely new name Is the way to go.
