Human Manipulation: Anchoring 06-06-2011, 02:35 PM

Hello and this is TGW. I am doing a small, little guide on the effects of anchoring certain emotions to certain actions.
First of, Anchoring on google means "Moor (a ship) to the sea bottom with an anchor", however, in Human Manipulation, it is the series of steps in making a certain action show a certain emotion from the slave (Victim).
Now, to do this, I will give an example. Say that your a parent and your child keeps taking the spoons out of the kitchen drawers and throwing them on the ground just to hear a noise. If you want them to stop, you must tie a negative emotion to the noise. Say, when you yell at them, you drop the spoon.
The anchoring part comes when you do this multiple times (Repetition) to a point that its fixed in the childs mind.
If you have done it enough times and correctly, the next time they drop their spoon and hear the noise, they feel bad and recall the multiple yellings and punishments associated with the sound so they will slowly stop doing it because they don't want to feel bad.
An example of positive anchoring is when, say, your a boss and one of your employee's did a terrific job on his project that you assigned to him. If you then give him a raise, he will, after a while, associate success as an extremely good thing and also, a way to get a better quality of life. The next time you assign him a project, if you were successfull, he might do even better and do it faster.
This has been my guide to anchoring. If you have any questions, PM Me and I will get to it. Also, I wrote this tutorial on a bit of personal experience and also, because no one wrote any tutorials on Human Manipulation upset Optimist and a few others.
