an investigation is simply part of their process. They may/will ask for it to be reported to police and for you to attain a crime reference number (uk), Having gone through this step myself simply report the missing package to the police and get the refrence number . 9 times out of ten the police will not even investigate.

don't be afraid of amazon investigations as for high ticket items they're normally part of the process for the rep to be able to process a refund

I didn't receive it.

I tell them I didn't receive the package, despite it being marked delivered. If they say they're going to open an investigation, tell them you're going to go ask a neighbor and to hold on that, but you'll call back shortly to let them know. Rinse and repeat until you succeed w/ a diff rep.

I used .com I’m from the US. This time I even happened to be getting my mail when it got delivered and the carrier HANDED it to me and saw me receive it. They still even refunded me after saying it was “Not delivered properly”
