RE: HTML help #11
I suggest you learn basic html first from W3schools (google it) I has everything you need, it can be a bit overwhelming but just learn how to put images and stuff like that on it and directly learn ccs at the same time to move it around and play with it.

After doing this get more advanced until you can create a fake but professional looking site for a company, don't overdo it just clean simple and functional. After you can do this w/o taking more than a week you should check out html5 and css3 element, put them in there play with it, think of challenges, and then i suggest you cross over to implementing things like j query (or write your own javascript). After know how to make it look good at the output , you've got to learn how the it works server side and tinker with putting up servers in your lan, and go on with those things like ligeti said. that's how i did it at school and it's a good way imho Wink

Once you get a grasp of how HTML works you should move to CSS. When you combine the two you can create some swesome stuff. CSS will help you position your content and allow you add more advanced features like shading, hover colour, etc.. Good luck! If you have any questions feel free to PM or email me!

RE: HTML help #14
befor you jump to CSS you must learn XHTML first...

HTML and XHTML have difference

Visit w3school.com and read the rules and regulation of XHTML

If I were you try to read ebook... I read dummies and it is a good start...

HTML -> XHTML -> CSS -> JavaScript -> PHP -> MySQL

If you want to learn HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery you must lear first XHTML + CSS and JavaScript

The porpose of XHTML is all about cross-browser compatibility and backward compatibility... Smile

IMO after HTML, CSS and JavaScript is what you should shoot for. Personally, I don't like following tutorials. Try making your own website, or even a JavaScript game? Some people learn better that way ^_^
