Please answer RE: HTML help - Ferby - 02-16-2014 I learnt the basics of web design when I was 12 and I quickly learnt CSS along with it. HTML is all about how the page is laid out but CSS is important for how it's styled. If possible, I'd recommend that you learnt both these languages together because it makes it a hell lot easier. CSS is very basic and easy to learn so it won't be much of a burden

RE: HTML help - Ligeti - 02-16-2014 mmm... if you are taking the web-developer/designer path, then you "should" know (at least): - HTML5: and not only HTML, but start learning HTML5 after JavaScript - CSS is a must and start NOW! Don't wait (in parallel with HTML) - JS: this is also a must but can wait a little till you feel yourself confortable (did I spell that right?) with making html pages and layouts... That was on the client side, now on the server side (and this depends on what you want to do): - PHP or ASP or JavaServlets (I don't recommend it though but had to mention it) these are used to build dynamic web pages... - MySQL: good to start with to learn SQL, easy and well documented Maybe after that you will need to look at CMS and OpenSource solutions (OpenERP, OpenBravo, PrestaShop, Magento) Also you have to check CSS3, and understand hosting, CGI, IIS/Apache... (I can go on forever lol) The point is this: you must apply what you learn so you understant (by yourself) what is the next step... if you need any help let me know, if you have any more questions please let us know! Thanks and happy coding RE: HTML help - Ligeti - 02-16-2014 mmm... if you are taking the web-developer/designer path, then you "should" know (at least): - HTML5: and not only HTML, but start learning HTML5 after JavaScript - CSS is a must and start NOW! RE: HTML help - Anacreon - 02-18-2014 @Geo777 in my opinion, don't make yourself confuse to learn "what should I learn first?" just do it slowly and clearly. first, take html and css to learn, and then after you CAN use HtML and CSS, try to learn javascript. And after you CAN use Javascript try to learn MySQL. mile:
