So far, you'll still be required to comply with their request, however what they've stated (as per my above post) Is not consistent with what you've claimed- being you didn't receive the package.

The point Is, you shouldn't be signing a document that does not represent the actual series of events that took place, hence they need to clarify the questions as discussed.

Perfect.

It was "his decision" to leave the package In the cabinet, not yours, so he's responsible for his actions and subsequently loss of goods. Be sure to mention this In your email to the company.

Don't underestimate a thief's capability/Intention.

They break Into homes by disabling state of the art alarm systems, so the simplicity of looking Into a cabinet that's open to the public and may contain valuables, Is well and truly justified.

I've got a reply just now:

"Previous Mail: Wrote:"Please remember that you are legally binding with your signature that you only received the package with one article."

He apologizes because it came to a misunderstanding on his side. He also said: "We will state in the requested investigation that you didn't got the package at all".

Then he asked me again to sign the PDF and hand it over to them (my signing is legally binding).
In the PDF I have to sign that "Me xx xx, did not got the package at all!".

and the last sentence: "In the course of this we will ask the driver why he left the package unattended under the carport."

Excellent, It's good that they've woken up and realized what actually took place.

As per below, that's why I suggested to ask for clarification.

There's no cause for concern.

If they had reason to believe that what you're saying Is not true and correct, they would've already taken action and not ask to sign the document. As It stands, there's no evidence to decline your claim, nor suggest that you're falsifying Its details.

Brilliant.

The driver can create as many fanciful stories as he pleases, but It doesn't change the fact that he left the package unattended via his own volition. His note proves It without a shadow of a doubt.

@mothered They answered me 5min ago, but I immediately answered them!

They said that everything is alright and they would send me a package again (I could double dip, but I do not want to).

I immediately replied that I want a refund instead. Do you think they will respond to it? I wrote that I have already taken care of clothes elsewhere.

EDIT 3min later: They just confirmed my refund, the SE is done! Thank you for all your help mothered!

Under the circumstances, It's one of the most suitable and effective responses to justify a request for a refund.

For the reasons stated below, I was extremely confident of a successful outcome.

You're most welcome with the assistance given, but you're the one who made the SE succeed by persevering and being adamant throughout the claims process.

A job well done Indeed.
