You layouts and designs look pretty old and LQ.
If you are planning to learn web designing , I suggest that you google and follow tutorials.
That way , you can develop good "professional" web designing skills.
In your last design [ The Green One ] - the green is a bit too bright.
Too much brightness will make people irritated.
And next thing - You must never use such main logos

If you think designers just simply choose colours that look nice , you're mislead.Designers use principles to choose colours. But again there are exceptions.

P.S That is pretty impressive for a guy who started web designing a few days ago.

Yes, like you many people have told me my designs are old and shitty haha. Which is why i wanted to give something new a go. Graphic Design. But yes I have been googling and watching youtube videos on how do accomplish different things. But the annoying thing is... it seems like half the gimp tutorials arent made for my version. shit keeps getting moved and the buttons and things are not where they were in the videos or on tutorials. So im spending half my time looking for buttons and menus haha

as for Kuler... you are the 3rd/4th person to mention that to me... and in fact I used Kuler to come up with the colours for both attempts /5 and /6 - As you can see, even Kuler didnt work out for me heh

I thought i would answer this one too. I use Linux 100% and Gimp is a native application. Ive read that you can run Photoshop on Wine... but that leads me to my next issue... Im not a fan of software piracy. And i cant afford a PS license. Occasionally if im forced i will, but strictly speaking if there is an open source/freeware version id much rather use that. Come to think of it, i dont think I installed any pirated software in at least the last 4 years... if not longer.

I installed that Gpicker. Looks nice. not very refined (like no under button) but that preview window is awesome. And the colour matching thing seems to be a lot more reasonable than Kuler LOL

@XxGreenLanternxX I am using Photoshop I just want to learn Gimp as well so in future I can work with both of them.
@Geoff you can try Krita http://krita.org similar to GIMP and Photoshop. It is also released on Linux.
About Gpicker yea I can tell the same I have used Kuler which did not really worked out for me. I found Gpicker it is much better also Pirated Photoshop doesn't really work on linux needs a lots of bugs fixing its a frustration as long as you are really experienced with linux that might not be problem for you. But I am using windows and linux and I find linux bit hard to use sometimes ;D but still tryin
