What's the earliest remembrance of a computer you have, and what about it? What defined that moment?

My computer moment:
I was a couple of years from attending my first year of school. There was this black box by my parent's nightstand and on top of the nightstand a black screen. I've seen white boxes sometimes but this was the first time I've seen a sleek box like that. My dad turned it on and it made the classic XP noise. To try and show me something cool, he made a screensaver. I was fascinated by this screensaver, something moved when you simply left the computer alone for a minute. Then, he made a screensaver, later on, when I was able to read with my name. It was so cool having something with my name on it, this lead me with interest in computers.
TLDR: I thought computers were cool because of the XP screensavers.

Mine was with Windows 3.1, back In the early 90s.

My system had "4MB" of Ram, and a 500MB HDD. It literally took over 2 hours to Install Microsoft Office 95 via 25 floppy disks. I too, remember Windows XP quite clearly, It was a dual-boot on my lappy with Windows 2000.

Speaking of Windows XP, I'm sure you'll enjoy this to bring back a few memories.

The first experience was a big box screen that was VERY old. The screen was blurry so, it was hard to see. It had very old windows on it and, I use to play the good old minesweeper.
I then started using our other tower and played RS from that.

The days of the ARPANET were also a time to remember.

Subsequently though (In the 90s), technology had significantly Improved.

I honestly can't remember my first computer experience, as I was so young. My parents for some reason unknown to my small child mind, always kept those giant white computers in my room. My main tasks: Minesweeper, MS paint, and of course, once MS office was a regular thing, I typed up stories I made up as an aspiring novelist and illustrator aged <8.

My first time really using computers that I can remember all too well was at school, we always had computers at home but I wasn't allowed to mess with them until I got a bit into school.

Our district was really poor and it was like 2006 or 2007 so some of the best computers were two of those old iMac G3s which were restricted to the teachers. Every "computer lab" was made up of random old stuff they got - the first I ever used were either the 128K Macs playing Oregon Trail or one of the Commodore PETs which were always running word processors because we only had like six disks for the things in total. They did upgrade to G4 Macs but that was when I was leaving the elementary school and found out that all the upper schools had proper modern Macs or Windows machines and I finally had access to the home machines playing stuff like Crysis and Team Fortress 2 which was amazing to me having come off of old monochrome monitors and floppy disks.

I remember those games! I spent a while figuring out how to play minesweeper. XP was a good operating system. I liked it.

As opposed to the likes of Windows 10, It was a pretty secure OS.
