I think people start wars. Religion is just their excuse.

Things nothing for themselves, is the fanaticism of some people that produces confrontations, and sometimes religion is simply used as an excuse to satisfy personal interests

Religion itself does not cause wars. However, the people who follow them do. Some people may think that only the "Right Hand Path" causes wars (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) because of disagreements.
I have never heard of any Pagans (other than the motorcycle gang), Buddhists, Hindus, or anyone else starting a war, have I? no.

Yes because people forget that religion was made for loving each other

I could never think of a particular war, where men took up arms against other men just in the name of religion. All of those conflicts waged in the name of religion had some underlying motive for it. All of them.

IMO humans start wars based on ideological differences (religious), territorial needs, and historical reasons. So no, religion doesn't start wars, I think it merely is an excuse for leaders to play soldiers.
