Dick's Sporting Goods DNA Help #1
I ordered a $800 scooter from DSG.

FedEx posted an image containing the package and my garage door. (no house number or anything else to identify my house)
I contacted DSG support and claimed that I've been waiting for my package and I received an email confirming the package arrived but I don't see it outside.

Customer support replied by asking if I had checked around my house, bushes, etc. and asked my neighbors.

I said that I did and that none of my neighbors have received a package of this size.

They told me to wait a few minutes, and then they sent me the tracking ID and the link to the FedEx image of "proof" of it being delivered to the right address.

I said that that isn't my house, by garage doesn't look like that.

They told me they are very sorry and that I would have to file a claim with FedEx, and they ended the chat.

What should I do? They've insisted I make a claim. I'm considering this a fail and returning the scooter, but I just wanted to see if anybody had any ideas. I've tried many approaches.

Just a note:

I've tried insisting that that isn't my house
I've tried escalating it
I've tried Live Chat & calling support
I've contacted support probably well over 10 times to make it seem like I'm actually concerned and that I actually haven't gotten the package

It seems big packages like this from retailers always seem to be a lot tougher to SE in my experience

My friend SE'd a $400 scooter far more easily, so I'm assuming its the price of the scooter perhaps.

Possible as well, thresholds do exist with many shops where these methods become obsolete
