Dialog - Curses menus made easy 04-25-2017, 12:50 AM

This is less of a tutorial and more of a "hey, this exists!" thread. Dialog is an awesome utility that makes creating CLI menus and selectors like those used in the wifi-menu script of Arch's netctl package super fast and easy. If you've ever used the Arch Anywhere installer, you've seen just what it can do, and it's pretty impressive.
There's a ton of config options for color schemes and the like, as well as 30-odd different menu options such as forms, calendars, checklists, file and directory selectors, and progress bars. If you ever need an interactive program, stop home-brewing and use this!

It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.
