Yo Hack Community,

Did you know the benefits of the cold shower? I don't actually know lot of them but I am okay with just one of them so I am making cold shower like 3 months now and I see a lot of difference on many things (basicly on phisical ones but also psychologically) :

1. Immunity to cold generally.

2. Getting more Disciplined.

3. Massive Improvement to my IMMUNE SYSTEM (thats not visible but its proven to be true).

Here is some resources about why the cold shower is much better than the hot one:

I sometimes take icy showers to cool my body down to help me sleep when it's hot out, but that's about it. Cold showers are pretty awful, but to each their own ahha

I couldn't possibly take a cold shower. It's uncomfortable. You must be mr freeze or something

Learning to control the uncomfortability will make you more discipline in your goals. Besides its so good for the Immune System which is the main reason that I do it, as avoiding the pills forever sounds good.

Its good to mention here that the immune system its upgrading all the time it never stops as more cold showers as you get, immune system upgrades more! When I found this out I cursed everyone that learned me to do hot showers...

But of course its a choice as TEDx video says.

I've actually found when I was growing up I always wanted to be a navy seal, so when I would wait for the school bus and I would never wear jackets or hoodies and I actually have become very immune to cold. Sounds strange but I'm glad I did it. Never have a problem with the cold anymore, just block it out mentally , this is like 10 years ago.

How long do you take cold showers, dude?

I take a cold shower for like 2-3 mins just after a workout, it helps prevent a lot of lactic acid from building up.

It also boosts your metabolism which in turn boosts your natural fat burning. Good post!

I tend to take cold showers quite often although it's hard to do when it's cold.
