They tell you what they want you to hear.

There are thousands of DNA claims daily. If every UPS driver was responsible for the delivery of their own shipments, there wouldn't be a single driver on the road.

He was very persistent though, he came twice and before that there was another individual from ups who inquired.
The courier said that he would ask security for the footage but as there are no cameras in the lift or hallway he was out of luck.

It's typical behaviour from carrier drivers.

What ended up happening after that?

Do remember that you're under no obligation to answer the driver's questions and concerns.

What ended up happening after that?

It was the last time that courier asked about the delivery.

These were their actions:
1st visit (different person than courier)
Call from courier company
2nd visit from courier

The company refunded and nothing more was heard from the courier.
The address seemed to be on the route of the courier so he was seen again for other deliveries.
He was then extremely pissed off, similar case with DPD.

They definitely do bear some consquence for DNAs.
Maybe not financial but investigations are being raised internally and they have to go to back to the adress at least dpd and ups.
They could have internal targets what they are measured against. Too many claims of non delivery have performance and general disciplinary actions.
