As already mentioned:

I see the method is SNAD on PayPal. "In this type of claim, the buyer is stating the item they received is significantly different than they expected, based on the seller's description. For instance, the buyer ordered a red sweater but received a blue one instead.".

In the case of buying this laptop how do I say that the laptop is significantly not as described?

The above Is simply an example and not set In concrete.

Say that It's damaged and appears to be used. If, for example, you say that you've received the Incorrect model, they'll most likely ask to return It for the correct one. The laptop Is classed as a high value Item, so complications with the dispute can be expected.

I see mate. If I state one of those issues they would ask for the item back and ultimately send me another one. Is there a set approach that you would execute? I can pay.
I need a laptop before the 5th in order to complete my work while I am abroad, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I sent you a message mate. Thank you.

I also was wondering if £1500-2000 laptops are difficult to SE?

Whatever the reason may be, they will request the Item be returned.

There are no hard and fast rules. Every SE Is taken on a case-by-case basis and Is dealt with one step at a time, according to the responses received. Personally, I would avoid these complications and simply DNA It.

It seems @SE.UK has you covered.

I understand. I will try to DNA the laptop then, after seeing whether or not the driver recorded any evidence. Somebody told me you are based in the UK, and my final concern is if I should do it with Curry's or John Lewis. I heard Curry's are replying to PayPal now or something, which one is ideal at the moment or has the highest success rate?

Good move.

Hopefully a signature will not be required. If not and due to the Item's value, I'd say the driver will take photos.

In terms of PayPal, deal with It "If" It comes to that stage. Your primary concern Is succeeding with the DNA.

Pertaining to the company with the better chance of success, establish the carrier they use and their requirements when delivering packages. For example, If It's simply handed to you without a signature or photos taken, then opt for that company.

Thanks mate.

In the case of the item arriving and the post man not taking a picture/signature should I open up a DNA case with Currys or PayPal, and how many days should I allow before contacting them?
