Best Beginner SE? #1
I was interested in starting out in the SE world, what is the best bet for a starter? The one I’ve come up with so far is FitBit, I would appreciate any suggestions.
(Preferably looking for good reselling options)

Thank you all! <3

If your just starting you should definitely practice with food companies just to understand more and have experience.
Then I would move onto Logitech, they only sometimes require a return. And their products are resellable.
Next I would do some earbuds, these are very light so when asked to return you can box them very easily.
Then I would move to companies with slightly heavier product. This is as so you can learn to dry ice box.

That's just my advice. Good luck and if you have any questions feel free just to ask.

I'm planning to get into SE as well. so thanks for this very helpful.
By food companies you are referring to companies around your area? Like let's say call pizzahut and tell them you got something in your pizza or that after you have ate the pizza you needed to go to the doctor. Things like that?

This ^^

Food Items are the easiest to SE. In fact on almost every food packaging, there Is a customer satisfaction guarantee (or some variant), whereby If you're not 100% satisfied with the product, they'll Issue a full refund or replacement. You know what this means? They've just SEd themselves.

It's also good to perform "practice runs" (bogus) SEs. You create a fabricated scenario- just to get a feel of what's Involved. If It fails, take the positive out of the negative and you'll know what "not to do" the next time around.

Also take note of the questions asked, how they expect to be answered, the grounds on which refunds & replacements are Issued and most Importantly, the vulnerabilities of the representatives. Do this on a few companies and once your confidence level builds, you can formulate your methods (based on prior experience) In preparation for the real deal.

I think this is the most important point in learning SE. I haven't tried to SE a company for refunds, but definitely have some experience on engagements that is mostly SE applied (like going in the actual company pretending to be someone, etc). So I think it's pretty much the same with refunds. (correct me if I'm wrong)

Starbucks is a really easy company to SE. You can also try to SE Amazon Gift Cards, this last one isnt really Social Engineering but live chat/phoning Amazon and getting refunds on items is a good way to build confindence. Let me know if you need any help with any of these methods.

Over and above everything mentioned, during your early stages of SEing, always choose a communication gateway you're most comfortable with.

For Instance, some prefer phone/chat, whilst others feel at ease via email. Where possible, I recommend using the latter- you have all the time you need to formulate your response. Once your confidence builds, all forms of communication will become second nature.

i would definitely try the company Atto. It was my first actual SE and it was very easy. I have made a great tutorial on it here already.

It's perfectly fine- compliant with forum rules.
