Attempting serial number replacement. 02-26-2024, 07:13 AM

I'm trying to do a replacement on a hardware company for a tool.
Told them the motor smoked and it caught fire and I had to use an extinguisher on it.
I sent them proof of purchase (via amazon) and the serial number.
I am pretty sure they will want me to return it for a replacement, is there anyway I can get out of sending it back?
Say the shipping service said it was hazardous material so they couldn't ship it?
If it comes down to worse then i'll do FTIDv3 to a nearby address for the return.
