Attempting serial number replacement. - maddylok - 02-26-2024 I'm trying to do a replacement on a hardware company for a tool. Told them the motor smoked and it caught fire and I had to use an extinguisher on it. I sent them proof of purchase (via amazon) and the serial number. I am pretty sure they will want me to return it for a replacement, is there anyway I can get out of sending it back? Say the shipping service said it was hazardous material so they couldn't ship it? If it comes down to worse then i'll do FTIDv3 to a nearby address for the return. RE: Attempting serial number replacement. - maddylok - 02-26-2024 welp nvm, they told me to take the item to a service center will be a fail RE: Attempting serial number replacement. - andrew1774 - 02-26-2024 (02-26-2024, 07:13 AM)maddylok Wrote: I'm trying to do a replacement on a hardware company for a tool.Since you've told that it was smoking and burned they will ask you to return it 100%%%% RE: Attempting serial number replacement. - dohali8720 - 02-26-2024 they don't care about cost of replacement unit when you mention something crazy like fire, they're concerned with a defect that might exist in their production line and want to check it out for a possible recall, it's manufacturers biggest nightmare.
