RE: Amazon investigation #11
Alright thanks for the advice. I'll do some more research on other companies rather than John Lewis.

A police report for a missing item? The request of the amazon's representative doesn't make any sense.

@throwaway998877, any updates with your SE?

Apologises for the insanely late update post lol. But, this SE was a massive fail. When I tried to get the police report, nothing happened. I was also worried about the email I received, so I just decided to return the item. Luckily, no issues arised and I managed to get my money back.

Let me understand.
You claimed that you didn't receive the item, and then you straightforwardly return it to them without no more conversation with them?

Oof @throwaway998877 you decided to return the item you claimed you did not get? I am interested on what that does to your account.

Also, you are not alone that has failed this missing item method with Amazon. I have an account with 300 orders just this year and I failed for a little over 30 grams. Amazon is getting really hard on this partial missing.

Please elaborate further on this.

I had a good laugh reading this, returning an item while claiming it was missing. Then realising I did this as well once with Amazon. But I returned an empty box (Item weight was actually 1 kg or something) and got my money back (and the item). Just push your claim would have worked, but then again I'm not sure what you mean with 'nothing happened'.

The rep must've been either brain-dead, or his last day at work and didn't care by approving your claim.

Whatever the case may be, well done on Its success.

I clicked on the order and it still let me generate a return barcode. I know it's probably the most stupidest thing to do, but it worked fine.

Opened a police report online, explained the situation and the person I was talking to just said 'nothing has happened, therefore I'm closing the case'. I could have shown this to Amazon, but at this point I was just tired of the whole thing.

Yeah I'd say my account status is pretty fucked. But I'm also not gonna try Amazon anymore. This SE has put me off trying future ones with them.
