They aren't gonna just give in to you and give you a refund, so you do the same. Don't give in to them and keep contacting them, every few days. I assure you, you'll get the refund in the end but it could take up to 40 days (personal experience, check my recent posts). Escalate to ECR.

If it was fake, then they would have given the refund already without checking it and the author of the topic wouldn't need to write on this topic anymore. The answer is that its a real one, and yeah, don't mess with fake PR, because you will left without refund.

I keep emailing them but I keep getting the same response

“ Thank you for providing us with crime reference number.
At this time, we're unable to validate your report with the police department. Please contact us after July 26,2023 and we’ll review our options. Once August 2,2023 passes, we're no longer able to assist.”

Since then I’ve been getting the same “wait till July 26th” message

you need to make 100% sure the phone works , if it is a voicemail phone or where u need to enter digits to get to reception , they will tell you they could not verify and also
you need to keep pushing it everyday again and again i knew someone his case lasted 2 months with amazon.
Amazon is very difficult now to se if you are going above 500 euro in eu.
I would keep calling them ask for English rep if you dont speak Spanish and explain there further or ask why its not verified.

I had same problem, I kept contacting reps on live chat one after the other till eventually it got verified. Just be persistent.
