I'm thinking of a plan in my head how I would prove to somebody that the card is malfunctioning.
I can do that, yes for sure! But how do I achieve not being able to return it? - Yes of course, classic methods such as bloodstains in this case - I would even cut myself a bit for 1400 lol
I guess you could go for malfunctioning item and unable to return the item scenario if you want to sit at home

I see its all fair using the item malfunctioning but do they really fall for the Blood on the box? Would they not try to use that against me? By maybe saying I cut myself on the card that is maybe why it isn't working? I have never really seen this method play out.

I am also looking into a SE'er if you will for someone to do it for me I have messaged a few providers. I think I just need to sit down with someone and go over a plan and get myself out of this comfort zone and stop being a wimp haha

You always say that when you opened the package it arrived in, you cut yourself a bit and few blood drops have been dropped over the box of the graphics card.
You then got all patched up, finally got to touch the box of your graphics card, but when you connected it ......

they can't accept bloody package to be sent somewhere, what if you have some disease?
but I haven't personally done that, so I can't tell you from experiences. I've just read very lot of topics.

Ye, It just seems to easy I could even just use fake blood you know haha. Ill hope Motherd comments on this by tomorrow for a little more advice haha, Thank you for helping me hopefully I can find a way to get it done!

Do people still get away with making the purchase and then send back their old card in the box

This will give them reason to check the return and as such, they'll Identify that It's not part of their Inventory.

You're better off using the sealed box method.

The blood method does work, but It depends on the company and whether they have protocols In place to not accept Items exposed to blood.

I'm not sure if I understand the OP but what is wrong on this:
You received your package, happy to install it and when you opened the box in which the graphics was, you happened to receive old [your old card here] instead of the new shiny rtx 3090 but on the package box it says 3090 and you are panicking and calling their support.

What could go wrong? They ask you to return it? No problem - you've already broken the seal, and they have no way to prove you that it wasn't there..... or have they?

So you're saying that you've received a wrong Item (namely your old graphics card), Instead of the new one as per your order?

If so, this can In fact work- as they have no evidence that "you are responsible". In other words, anyone could've used the sealed box method and (as It seems), you've received their Item.

I've actually written an article on this. It's In draft mode at the moment awaiting to be proofread.

Provided you match the weight and the external packaging of the box does not have a clear window (film) where the Item can be viewed, then It has a very good chance of success.
