Amazon SE - Akoz - 09-01-2020 Hey, So with the new line of 3000 Series GPU's coming out this month I like many others will be looking at grabbing one however my question is. Do people still get away with making the purchase and then send back their old card in the box for (Insert Reason Here)? I remember this being a big thing few years back but am wondering if it is still remotely possible. Regards, Akoz RE: Amazon SE - Jail_Bird - 09-01-2020 Well of course if you go for the sealed method! ![]() Why would you complicate things though? There's always DNA and possiblity to box them. Always ends up In reports never once had a successful DNA ever. Dont know what I am doing wrong. So I tend to stick to the Wrong item. How would I go around the Sealed method? Maybe you could tell us what are you doing while DNA-ing and we could help you improve the method. I would really recommend you reading this: mothered's blog Although if you are decent with photoshop, maybe you could fake a broken GPU as well and talk it through. I don't recommend the corrupted file method for low trust factor Amazon account though RE: Amazon SE - Akoz - 09-01-2020 (09-01-2020, 11:00 PM)dex73r Wrote:(09-01-2020, 10:23 PM)Akoz Wrote:(09-01-2020, 10:03 PM)dex73r Wrote: Well of course if you go for the sealed method! Ye, It would be done with an amazon account of 10 years many many many items purchased only 1 or 2 returns. The method I would usually use Is after receiving the item and the notification that says it has been delivered I would go to the Amazon Live chat and explain the item has been marked as Delivered but no Item has been handed to me they then go into a paragraph about how they will look into it and then ask me to check with Neighbours etc. I tell them I have checked no one has taken in a parcel for me then I usually get transferred and told to fill out a report. I will take a look at the blog posted above I am just very sceptical of the DNA as It has never worked in the past. Regards, Akoz RE: Amazon SE - Jail_Bird - 09-01-2020 The report is a part of their protocol. Just follow what they need and you will get the report. Nobody can prove you got the package delivered if they don't have proof beforehand RE: Amazon SE - Akoz - 09-01-2020 (09-01-2020, 11:56 PM)dex73r Wrote: The report is a part of their protocol. I suppose it just comes down to fear mongering haha you always assume the worst when stuff like that happenes thinking the courior is going to come back to your door and call you out hahah. Not sure If I could deal with the pressure I like the casual Wrong item method then send back somthing I bought from them on another account to a new address haha no reports usually. RE: Amazon SE - Roadman - 09-02-2020 I've always wondered what an official police report looks like. Anyone got a template? And yes, I haven't seen a DNA refund work without a report in years. I would also recommend boxing method. How much is the item? RE: Amazon SE - Akoz - 09-02-2020 (09-02-2020, 12:07 AM)Roadman Wrote: I've always wondered what an official police report looks like. I know most of the methods used but I am somtimes not familur with the names people use to describe them haha RE: Amazon SE - Jail_Bird - 09-02-2020 I'm thinking of a plan in my head how I would prove to somebody that the card is malfunctioning. I can do that, yes for sure! But how do I achieve not being able to return it? - Yes of course, classic methods such as blood stains in this case - I would even cut myself a bit for 1400 lol I guess you could go for malfunctioning item and unable to return the item scenario if you want to sit at home
