If I may ask and for Informative purposes, did they pursue with any form of verification from the carrier etc?

Nope, my excuse was pretty good so they went ahead and asked me for a replacement or refund, and I chose refund. They did mention they'll ask the courier service about it not arriving but thats likely just protocol and the response they have to give.

UPDATE: I managed to se a 140$ lev's jacekt. I ordered a couple of other cheap things and when the parcel arrived I contacted them and it took me a couple of minutes to convince them. Then they sent me a document that i had to print and fill and send it back to them, When they received it they instantly refunded me. EASY

What was your excuse exactly? I thought asos offered full tracking on orders, so they'd know if it arrived?
