When drivers collect packages solely by scanning (and not Inspecting Its contents), they don't tend to cross-check It there and then. Weights & dimensions are recorded at their depot for record keeping, consignment confirmation and cost of freight.

Do note that drivers make anywhere between 120-150 deliveries per day, pickups Included so unless they have reason to check, they're In a rush to meet their scheduled delivery run.
