I'm thinking to se a pair of AirPods off amazon then returning them to Argos, potentially in store?

Argos are quite difficult to deal with and for the most part, do check their returns.

Are you planning to simply return them for a refund? If so, you can use the sealed box method and substitute the AirPods with anything of the same weight.

The latest was speaking to an advisor on the phone and he said he would get the fraud team to email me more information about why they aren't accepting the refund and suggesting I go to the bank. - Haven't received an email or anything since.

Yeah I was going to simply return the pair I get from amazon to Argos, to get my Argos order money back and then I should be able to se amazon with ease.
Not really too fussed on doing the sealed box method as I'll be happy enough to get the money back from Argos full stop haha.
