Concern - not really, SNAD method with Currys on PayPal, fingers crossed they're still not responding to disputes.
Remember your transaction is still with Currys, in a way, Currys won't have any evidence from themselves to back it up.

That is a good point regarding Currys not having evidence, but then Samsung might have and this I cannot verify in anyway until I have began the process. Also I now for a fact that the wrong item I will claim to have received is in stock by Currys themselves and is not considered "Special Order".
That being said I will go through PayPal so hopefully Samsung will not get involved at all. That way I stay on plan and in the event Currys do not respond to the PayPal claim (I see this as highly unlikely given the value of the order) it's an easy win for me.

Based on the above, both boxing and the missing Item method will work.

It's very difficult to Identify a 62 gram variance on consignment.

It is 62 grams for the SSD alone (each), the whole package comes at 91 grams (each). This is 68% difference in weight and I would assume this will be noticed at some point.

Say I return the packages empty and the weight does not bother them, Currys/Samsung proceed to sell those to another buyer down the line.
Do they have the ability to crosscheck that I have returned these exact boxes and then come and look for their money? I would assume it is possible and in that case boxing would not work long term.

I can also replace the SSDs with cheaper models and box them so there will be no weight difference, and upon them being sold to the next buyer they will be more likely to assume it to be a manufacturer error (if I do a good job at resealing the boxes).
