Also, couldn't you just get ahold of a serial number on craigslist by simply asking someone selling the laptop you want? You could say you just want to verify that they really own the computer by looking their serial number up.

You'd be surprised by the amount of people who simply hand over their serial numbers. The key Is, to assure the seller that you'll be purchasing the Item Immediately after the serial number has been checked.

You both are correct and bring up valid insight, however like I said previously I was intending on doing DNA until I received an email saying signature was required and the item was shipped, preventing me from canceling. Perhaps I should return the Lenovo and try again attempting to use a serial, as I don’t want this to go south and I’m stuck with the laptop, especially as stated previously the faulty item method is much more difficult to pull off. But then again, might try anyway haha.
