Is it really problematic to have this 500g difference, and just add in a second item or wrapping material etc?

From the company's standpoint, It's extremely unlikely that two Incorrect Items will be picked, packed and dispatched.

500 grams, or half a kilo, Is a significant weight variance. See how you go with extra packing, but It will require quite a lot. Your best option Is to purchase an Item that's close, If not the exact same weight.

Ok so back to one of my questions: I can add up 500g of packing material to my package to make up for the exact weight I need. Is it fine to ship it like that, or will they compare the net weight of both items (excluding packaging) and raise a problem based on that weight difference?
