What's the limit usually for Amazon?

Depends on your account health and how well you can SE
I would say about 2k for an account at least a year old

So, my account is over a year old with tons of orders, how easy would it be to SE/not get the police report thing involved.

I've SE'd for Amazon before but that was way back when they did goodwill refunds and the such.

I would say you have a pretty good chance to evade police reports
